SMOK Nord Coils

The SMOK Nord coil range covers the original Nord pod family: the Nord, Nord 2, Nord C, Nord AIO, Fetch Mini, Stick N18, Alike, and RPM40, among others. There are six variants in the standard series, running from a 0.6ohm mesh for DTL vaping down to 1.4ohm ceramic for tight MTL draws with nic salts. One thing worth clarifying: the Nord 5 does not use Nord coils. It runs on RPM 3 series coils, which are a separate product.

SMOK Nord Replacement Coils 5 Pack Key Features

  • Six standard variants covering DTL through to MTL
  • Press-fit installation into the Nord pod
  • Compatible with Nord, Nord 2, Nord C, Fetch Mini, RPM40 and more
  • Suits high VG, 50/50, and nic salt e-liquids depending on variant
  • Pack of 5

0.6ohm Nord Mesh Coil

  • Resistance: 0.6ohm
  • Wattage: 25W max
  • Draw style: DTL (direct-to-lung)
  • Build: single mesh coil with large mesh surface for sub-ohm vapour production
  • E-liquid: high VG, 60%+ minimum; 70%+ recommended. Not suitable for nic salts
  • Best for: strong vapour output and cloud production in a pod device; the most popular Nord variant for DTL vapers

0.6ohm Nord DC Coil

  • Resistance: 0.6ohm
  • Wattage: 20W recommended
  • Draw style: DTL (direct-to-lung)
  • Build: dual-coil configuration for higher flavour density
  • E-liquid: high VG, 60%+
  • Best for: vapers who want DTL output at a slightly lower wattage than the mesh variant; the dual-coil build gives a warmer, denser draw

0.8ohm Nord Mesh-MTL Coil

  • Resistance: 0.8ohm
  • Wattage: 16W max
  • Draw style: MTL (mouth-to-lung)
  • Build: mesh coil for MTL use
  • E-liquid: 50/50 or higher VG; works with nic salts at this wattage. Good with 10mg or 20mg
  • Best for: MTL vapers who want the flavour quality of a mesh coil without moving to DTL; a good middle ground between the tighter 1.4ohm options and the more open 0.6ohm

0.8ohm Nord DC MTL Coil

  • Resistance: 0.8ohm
  • Wattage: 16W
  • Draw style: MTL (mouth-to-lung)
  • Build: dual-coil MTL configuration
  • E-liquid: 50/50 or higher PG; works well with nic salts
  • Best for: MTL vapers who prefer a dual-coil build over mesh; similar draw to the 0.8 Mesh-MTL but with a slightly different flavour character

1.4ohm Nord Regular Coil

  • Resistance: 1.4ohm
  • Wattage: low wattage MTL, typically 10-12W
  • Draw style: MTL (mouth-to-lung), tight draw
  • Build: single Kanthal coil
  • E-liquid: 50/50 or higher PG; ideal for nic salts (10mg or 20mg). Works well with 50nic and above
  • Best for: vapers coming from cigarettes or who want the most cigarette-like draw in the Nord range; pairs well with higher-strength nic salts for a strong but smooth hit

1.4ohm Nord Ceramic Coil

  • Resistance: 1.4ohm
  • Wattage: low wattage MTL, typically 10-12W
  • Draw style: MTL (mouth-to-lung), tight draw
  • Build: ceramic core with high-temperature resistance
  • E-liquid: 50/50 or higher PG; nic salts. Same e-liquid recommendation as the 1.4 Regular
  • Best for: heavier MTL vapers who go through coils quickly; the ceramic core handles heat more consistently than Kanthal under sustained use and tends to last longer

Which Nord Coil Should I Choose

If you're unsure which variant to go for, here's a quick guide. For DTL vaping with high VG liquid, the 0.6ohm Mesh is the go-to. If you vape 50/50 and want MTL with a bit more vapour than usual, the 0.8ohm Mesh-MTL is worth trying. If you're on nic salts and want a tight, cigarette-like draw, the 1.4ohm Regular or Ceramic will suit you best. The Ceramic version is a better long-term pick for heavier vapers. This is the question behind the "smok nord coils difference" searches, and hopefully this answers it clearly.
