VOOPOO PnP X Coils

VOOPOO PnP X replacement coils are the updated coil platform used across VOOPOO's more recent device range, sold in packs of five. The range covers mouth-to-lung, restricted direct-to-lung and full direct-to-lung vaping, with resistances spanning 0.15 Ohm to 0.6 Ohm.

PnP X coils use the same plug-and-play press-fit fitting as the original PnP platform but are a different size internally and are not interchangeable with standard PnP coils. If your device is from the Drag 5, Drag X3, Drag S3 or Vinci E120 range, it takes PnP X coils.

PnP-X1: 0.15 Ohm DTL Coil

The PnP-X1 is the highest-power option in the PnP X range, running at 0.15 Ohm with a recommended wattage of 40 to 60W. It is designed for a fully open direct-to-lung draw and requires high-VG shortfills or freebase nicotine at no more than 10mg. This is the coil to choose if you prefer dense vapour output and strong flavour from a shortfill on a high-powered PnP X device.

PnP-X2: 0.3 Ohm RDL Coil

The PnP-X2 runs at 0.3 Ohm with a recommended wattage of 25 to 35W, making it the mid-range option in the PnP X lineup. The draw sits between a tight MTL and a full DTL: often called restricted direct-to-lung or RDL. It suits 60/40 or 70/30 e-liquids and freebase nicotine at up to 10mg, and works well on mid-powered PnP X devices. Vapers moving from a pod kit towards sub-ohm vaping often find the RDL draw a comfortable step up.

PnP-X3: 0.6 Ohm MTL Coil

The PnP-X3 is the MTL option in the range, running at 0.6 Ohm with a recommended wattage of 12 to 25W. It produces a tighter, more cigarette-like draw and is well-suited to 50/50 e-liquids and nicotine salts up to 35mg. This is the recommended starting point for vapers switching from smoking who want a familiar inhale style. It also works on lower-powered PnP X devices that cannot reach the wattage required by the X1 or X2.

MTL, RDL and DTL: Choosing the Right Draw Style

MTL (mouth-to-lung) means drawing vapour into the mouth first, then inhaling, the same way most people smoke a cigarette. DTL (direct-to-lung) means inhaling vapour directly into the lungs in one breath, which requires an open airflow and higher wattage. RDL (restricted direct-to-lung) sits between the two: more airflow than MTL but less wide open than a full DTL draw. For vapers switching from smoking, MTL is the closest match. For vapers who have already moved on from MTL and want more vapour, RDL or DTL is the next step. The PnP-X3 covers MTL, the PnP-X2 covers RDL, and the PnP-X1 covers DTL.

Mesh Heating Element

All three PnP X variants use a mesh heating element rather than a round-wire construction. Mesh covers a larger surface area, heats more evenly and produces consistent flavour from the first draw through to the end of the coil's life. Heat-up time is faster than a round-wire equivalent at the same wattage, and the design is more resistant to dry hits during normal use. Sweetened e-liquids and dessert flavours containing sucralose will shorten coil life on any mesh coil, so pairing PnP X coils with quality, low-sucralose e-liquids will extend how long each coil lasts.

Plug-and-Play Press-Fit Installation

PnP X coils press directly into the base of any PnP X compatible pod or tank: no threading, no screwing and no tools required. Removing a spent coil is done by pushing it out from the opposite end. Before first use, fit the coil, fill the pod or tank, and allow at least five minutes for the wick to saturate fully before vaping. Starting at the lower end of the coil's wattage range and increasing gradually helps avoid a dry hit on the first draw and extends the coil's working life.

Compatible Devices

PnP X coils are compatible with any VOOPOO device built on the PnP X platform. Always confirm your device uses PnP X coils before ordering, as the original PnP platform uses a different coil that will not fit PnP X pods or tanks. Compatible devices include:

PnP X Coils Are Not Compatible with Original PnP Coils

PnP X is a newer, physically different coil platform and cannot be used with original PnP pods, tanks or devices. Both platforms use a press-fit fitting but differ in internal dimensions. If your device is an older model such as the Drag S, Drag X, Argus Pro or Vinci 2, it uses original PnP coils. If you are unsure which platform your device uses, check the coil type listed in the user manual or on the original packaging before ordering.
