The Vaporesso XROS 5 is a refillable pod kit built around a 1500mAh battery, a 0.88-inch HD screen, and 3A fast charging that reaches 80% in approximately 20 minutes and full charge in around 35 minutes. It fires by draw or by button and offers four power modes, including Smart Mode, which automatically matches the output to whichever pod is fitted. The full XROS pod range is compatible from 0.4Ω to 1.2Ω, and the 0.4Ω pod unlocks precision variable wattage adjustable in 0.5W increments between 15W and 30W.

At 120.8×24.5×14.5mm and 73.7g, the XROS 5 is the largest device in the current XROS range; vapers who want the same core technology in a smaller form factor can choose the XROS 5 Mini, or the XROS 5 Nano for a touchscreen interface. 0.88-Inch HD Screen

The XROS 5 uses a 0.88-inch HD screen for navigation, settings and display. Six screen display modes are available, allowing the interface to be personalised to your preference. The screen shows your current power mode, battery level and wattage at a glance, replacing the multi-click guesswork of earlier XROS devices. The reinforced screen frame adds impact resistance without adding significant bulk to the device. All settings, including power mode and wattage adjustments, are accessed through the button click sequence rather than a touchscreen, keeping the interaction quick and direct.

1500mAh Battery and 3A Fast Charge

The XROS 5 carries a 1500mAh built-in battery that will last most vapers a full day or more on a single charge. Plugging in via USB-C at 3A brings the battery to 80% in approximately 20 minutes and to full in around 35 minutes, making it one of the faster-charging pod kits in this class. The battery level is shown as a percentage on the screen at all times, so there is no guessing how much charge remains. Running the device in ECO mode extends the time between charges by reducing the output to the pod.

Four Power Modes

The XROS 5 offers four power modes, one more than the XROS 5 Mini and XROS 5 Nano. Smart Mode reads the resistance of the pod fitted and automatically sets the appropriate wattage, removing the need for any manual adjustment when swapping between pods. ECO mode runs the pod at a reduced output for a lighter draw and longer battery life. Normal mode applies the standard recommended wattage for a balanced everyday vape. Power mode boosts the output for a warmer, more vapour-dense inhale. For most vapers, Normal or Smart mode is the best starting point; Smart Mode is particularly useful when switching between different pod resistances.

Button and Draw Activation

The XROS 5 fires automatically on each inhale or when the button is pressed, giving you the choice of either method. The five-click button sequence powers the device on or off, preventing accidental firing in a pocket. The full click menu is as follows: one click activates the device, two clicks cycle through screen display themes, three clicks adjust the power mode or wattage setting, four clicks open the settings menu, and five clicks power the device on or off. If the device stops firing unexpectedly, five clicks will confirm whether it has been accidentally powered off. Vapers who prefer draw-only operation without a button at all are better suited to the XROS 5 Mini.

0.4Ω Precision Variable Wattage

When the 0.4Ω XROS pod is fitted, the XROS 5 unlocks a precision variable wattage mode that allows the output to be adjusted in 0.5W increments anywhere between 15W and 30W. This level of control is not available with any other pod resistance: the 0.6Ω, 0.8Ω, 1.0Ω and 1.2Ω pods run at their fixed recommended wattage in Normal mode, or at the automatic level selected by Smart Mode. The 0.4Ω pod is suited to an RDTL draw and pairs best with 50/50 or higher-VG e-liquids at lower nicotine strengths. Precision wattage mode is most useful for vapers who want fine-tuned control over warmth and vapour density when using RDTL pods.

Adjustable Airflow

The airflow slider on the side of the XROS 5 controls how loose or restricted each inhale feels, independently of the pod choice. Closing the slider produces a tight, MTL-style draw; opening it progressively loosens the inhale into RDTL territory. Using the slider alongside pod choice gives a wide range of possible draw styles: a 1.0Ω or 1.2Ω pod with the slider closed is the tightest draw the device produces and is closest to a cigarette pull, while a 0.4Ω pod with the slider fully open gives a much airier and more vapour-dense inhale. Most vapers find a preferred position after a short period of adjustment.

COREX Pod Compatibility

The XROS 5 ships with a 0.6Ω pod pre-installed and a 0.8Ω pod in the box, and is compatible with all COREX 2.0 and COREX 3.0 XROS replacement pods. COREX pods use a Morph-Mesh coil structure with high-density COREX cotton, which distributes heat evenly and keeps the wick saturated to reduce the risk of dry hits. COREX 3.0 pods include improved SSS leak-resistant technology over the 2.0 version. Each pod is a self-contained unit; when flavour drops off, replace the whole pod rather than a separate coil.

• 1.2Ω - Tightest MTL draw, closest to a cigarette feel. Best with 50/50 nic salts at 10mg or 20mg.
• 1.0Ω - Tight MTL with a touch more vapour. Well suited to 50/50 nic salts at 10mg or 20mg.
• 0.8Ω - Middle-ground MTL option with a slightly warmer draw. This pod is included in the box. Works well with 50/50 nic salts at 10mg.
• 0.6Ω - RDTL draw, airier and warmer. Suits 50/50 nic salts at 5mg or 10mg. This is the pre-installed pod.
• 0.4Ω - Loosest RDTL option with the most vapour and precision wattage control. Better suited to 50/50 or 70VG e-liquids at lower nicotine strengths. Available separately.

Top-Fill 2ml Pods

XROS pods are filled from the top by removing the mouthpiece to reveal the fill port, which is marked with a red silicone ring. The pod stays in the device while you refill, keeping the process quick and clean. SSS leak-resistant technology is built into the pod to reduce the likelihood of e-liquid seeping through the connection point. Before using a new pod for the first time, fill it and leave it upright for five to ten minutes so the COREX cotton can fully absorb the e-liquid; this reduces the risk of a dry or burnt first hit and extends pod lifespan. The 2ml capacity is compliant with UK TPD regulations.

Vaporesso XROS 5 Colours

The XROS 5 is available in 14 colour options across three finish groups. The Silk options have a smooth, satin-feel aluminium body; the Opal finishes have a soft, light-diffusing surface; and the Leather editions feature a wrapped panel with a tactile texture distinct from the metal-finish variants.
