UB Max Coils

The Lost Vape UB Max replacement coils are the standard coil range for the Centaurus Sub-Ohm Tank and UB Max Pod Tank, sold in packs of three. All three variants use mesh heating elements and press-fit installation. The range covers high-wattage DTL vaping, with options from 40W up to 120W depending on the coil you choose.

The X1 is a single mesh Ni80 coil at 0.15Ω for 80-120W, the X2 is a dual mesh Ni80 coil at 0.2Ω for 60-80W, and the X3 is a triple mesh KTR coil at 0.3Ω for 40-60W. All three are suited to 70%+ VG shortfill e-liquids. These are sub-ohm DTL coils and are not suitable for MTL vaping or nic salts.

UB Max X1 Coil, 0.15Ω, 80-120W

The X1 is a single mesh coil built with Ni80 wire, rated at 0.15Ω and designed for 80-120W. It is the highest-wattage option in the UB Max range and produces the most vapour of the three. The wide, open airflow of the Centaurus tank suits the X1 well at full draw. At these wattages, 70-80%+ VG shortfill e-liquids are recommended; thinner 50/50 liquids will not wick fast enough and will burn the coil. Start at around 80W when first installing a new X1 coil and work up once it is primed and broken in.

UB Max X2 Coil, 0.2Ω, 60-80W

The X2 is a dual mesh coil using Ni80 wire, rated at 0.2Ω and best used at 60-80W. It sits between the X1 and X3 in terms of vapour output and warmth, making it a good all-round option if you want a warm, dense DTL vape without running the tank at full power. The dual mesh design heats quickly and evenly. Use 70%+ VG shortfill e-liquids. Start at 60W when breaking in a new coil, then adjust to taste.

UB Max X3 Coil, 0.3Ω, 40-60W

The X3 is a triple mesh coil built with KTR (Kanthal) wire, rated at 0.3Ω and designed for 40-60W. The triple mesh and Kanthal construction give a slightly cooler, more flavour-forward vape compared to the Ni80 options. At 40-60W it is the lowest-power coil in the range and the most efficient on battery. It is also the coil included in the Centaurus N100 kit. The X3 is well suited to vapers stepping up from a pod kit who want a DTL vape without going to very high wattages. Use 70%+ VG shortfill e-liquids.

These coils are not compatible with the UB Lite, UB Pro, or other UB series coils. Each of those ranges uses a different coil format and the coils are not interchangeable.

Choosing the Right UB Max Coil

If your device can run at 80W or above and you want maximum vapour output, the X1 is the most capable option. If you want a balance of warmth, vapour, and battery life at mid-range wattage, the X2 is a good choice. If you prefer a cooler, flavour-focused DTL vape at lower wattages, or if your mod runs best between 40 and 60W, the X3 is the most practical pick. All three work with the same tanks and the same 70%+ VG shortfill e-liquids, so switching between them only requires a coil swap and a brief prime before use.
