GeekVape Aegis Boost Replacement Coils

The GeekVape B Series coils are the replacement coils for the Aegis Boost range and a wide selection of other GeekVape pod kits and tanks. They were previously sold under the name Aegis Boost coils and the coil platform is the same: if you have been buying Aegis Boost coils, B Series is what you need.

Six resistances cover everything from tight MTL at 1.2Ω through to full DTL at 0.2Ω, with options in between for RDL and restricted DTL. All use KA1 mesh construction and push straight in with no threading. Packs contain five coils.

GeekVape B Series Coils Key Features

  • Pack of 5 coils
  • Six resistances: 0.2Ω, 0.3Ω, 0.4Ω, 0.6Ω, 0.8Ω, 1.2Ω
  • KA1 mesh construction throughout
  • Press-fit installation, no threading required
  • Boost Version (0.2Ω–0.6Ω): doubled lifespan versus original B coils
  • Covers MTL, RDL, and DTL vaping styles
  • Compatible with nic salts, 50/50, and high-VG e-liquids depending on resistance
  • Fits a wide range of GeekVape Aegis and Z Nano devices

Pack of 5 Coils

Each pack contains five coils of the same resistance. Buying a spare pack means you always have a coil ready when the current one needs replacing, which avoids being stuck with a burnt coil waiting for a delivery. The pack of five format is standard across the B Series range regardless of which resistance you choose.

Six Resistances: 0.2Ω to 1.2Ω

The full B Series range covers six resistance options, from the 0.2Ω DTL coil down to the 1.2Ω MTL coil for nic salts. The choice of resistance determines your vaping style, your recommended wattage, and which e-liquid type works best.

  • 0.2Ω runs at 50-58W for a full open-lung DTL vape. Best used with high-VG freebase e-liquid and the airflow fully open.
  • 0.3Ω runs at 30-38W for a restricted DTL vape at a slightly lower wattage. High-VG freebase e-liquid works best with the airflow two-thirds open or more.
  • 0.4Ω runs at 25-35W and suits an RDL draw with a balance of vapour and flavour. Compatible with high-VG or 50/50 freebase.
  • 0.6Ω runs at 15-25W and gives a tighter draw sitting between RDL and MTL. Works well with 50/50 freebase or nic salts up to 20mg.
  • 0.8Ω runs at 12-16W for a standard mouth-to-lung vape. Suited to 50/50 freebase or nic salts. Classic version construction.
  • 1.2Ω runs at 8-12W and gives the tightest draw in the range. Designed for nic salts on lower-wattage devices. Classic version construction.

KA1 Mesh Construction

All B Series coils use KA1 Kanthal mesh rather than traditional wire coil construction. Mesh distributes heat more evenly across a larger surface area, which produces more consistent vapour and richer flavour from draw to draw. It also tends to extend coil life compared to wire coils used at similar wattages. The mesh design heats and cools quickly, which means less residual heat between draws.

Press-Fit Installation

B Series coils push straight into the pod base with no threading or twisting. Pull the base off the pod, press the coil in until it clicks into place, and reattach the base. The process takes a few seconds. Prime every new coil before the first use: add a few drops of e-liquid to the exposed cotton ports, fill the pod, and leave it to soak for three to five minutes before vaping. This prevents dry hits and burning on the first draw.

Boost Version: Doubled Lifespan

The 0.2Ω, 0.3Ω, 0.4Ω, and 0.6Ω coils are supplied in the Boost Version, which GeekVape redesigned with improved materials and heat-load engineering. GeekVape rates the Boost Version coils at roughly double the lifespan of the original B coils, approximately 40ml of e-liquid per coil versus 20ml previously. The 0.8Ω and 1.2Ω MTL coils use classic version construction and do not have a Boost Version equivalent. Signs that any coil needs replacing are a burnt or muted taste, darker-than-normal e-liquid in the pod, or reduced vapour at your usual wattage.

MTL, RDL, and DTL Vaping Styles

The B Series range is one of the few coil platforms that covers the full spectrum from mouth-to-lung to direct-to-lung in a single product line. MTL coils (0.8Ω and 1.2Ω) suit vapers who prefer a tighter, cigarette-like draw and typically use nic salts or 50/50 e-liquids. RDL coils (0.4Ω and 0.6Ω) sit in the middle: more airflow and vapour than MTL, but still a somewhat restricted inhale. DTL coils (0.2Ω and 0.3Ω) are for open-lung vaping with high-VG shortfills at higher wattages. Choosing the wrong resistance for your preferred style is one of the most common causes of an unsatisfying vape, so the resistance choice matters.

E-Liquid Compatibility by Resistance

  • 0.2Ω and 0.3Ω: High-VG freebase only (70VG/30PG or higher). Not suitable for nic salts.
  • 0.4Ω: High-VG freebase or 50/50 freebase. Nic salts not recommended.
  • 0.6Ω: 50/50 freebase or nic salts up to 30mg.
  • 0.8Ω and 1.2Ω: 50/50 freebase or nic salts. Not suited to high-VG shortfills.

Using thick high-VG liquid in an MTL coil can cause wicking problems. Using nic salts in a DTL coil at high wattage will deliver far too strong a hit. Matching the e-liquid to the coil resistance matters as much as the wattage setting.

Compatible GeekVape Devices

B Series coils fit a wide range of GeekVape pod kits and tanks. Check the list below against your device before ordering. Note that the Aegis Boost Pro uses P Series coils, and the T200 and L200 (Aegis Legend 2) use Z Series coils. B Series coils will not fit either of those platforms.

  • Aegis Boost (all versions including Boost 2 / B60, Boost 3, Boost Plus)
  • Aegis Hero, Aegis Hero 2 (H45), Aegis Hero 3 (H4 Classic), Aegis Hero 5
  • Aegis Mini 2 (M100)
  • GeekVape Z Nano, Z Nano 2
  • GeekVape Z50
  • Obelisk 65 / 65 FC
  • GeekVape MERO AIO
  • Aegis Force Pod

Not compatible with: Aegis Boost Pro (P Series), T200 (Z Series), L200 / Aegis Legend 2 (Z Series).
