Aspire Favostix Spare Pods

The Aspire Favostix replacement pods are the spare pods for the Aspire Favostix pod kit and the Favostix 2. Each pod has a built-in mesh coil that cannot be removed separately, so when the coil is spent the whole pod is swapped out. This is also why you may see them referred to as Favostix replacement coils or Favostix spare coils: the pod and the coil are one unit.

They come in a pack of three and are available in 0.6Ω for a slightly airier restricted draw and 1.0Ω for a tighter mouth-to-lung vape. Both use Aspire's Kanthal AF mesh coil build with a combined linen and organic cotton wick.

Aspire Favostix Replacement Pods Key Features

  • Pack of three replacement pods
  • 2ml capacity (UK TPD)
  • Two variants: 0.6Ω and 1.0Ω
  • Built-in Kanthal AF mesh coil, non-replaceable
  • Combined linen and organic cotton wicking
  • Bottom-fill with silicone stopper
  • Magnetic connection to device
  • Compatible with the Favostix and Favostix 2
  • PCTG material, translucent pod body

0.6Ω Pod, 15-18W, Restricted Direct-to-Lung

The 0.6Ω pod delivers a slightly airier draw than the 1.0Ω and is the more popular choice for vapers who want a little more vapour with their flavour. It works best at 15-18W and suits 50/50 e-liquids up to around 70-80% VG. Nic salts work well at this resistance too, particularly mid-strength salts in the 10-20mg range. If you tend to vape with the airflow slightly open or prefer a draw that sits between tight MTL and full direct-to-lung, the 0.6Ω is the better fit.

1.0Ω Pod, 12-15W, Mouth-to-Lung

The 1.0Ω pod gives a tighter, cooler draw that is very close to the pull of a cigarette. It runs at 12-15W and is the right choice for vapers who prefer a genuine MTL style or who use high-strength nic salts. High-PG and 50/50 e-liquids are the best match, as thicker VG-heavy blends can be slow to wick at this resistance and may cause dry hits. If you are new to vaping and coming from cigarettes, the 1.0Ω pod is usually the most comfortable starting point.

Built-in Mesh Coil

Both pods use a Kanthal AF mesh coil, which is the same coil type used across other Aspire Flexus AF series devices. Mesh construction means the heating surface is spread across a flat grid rather than concentrated in a single wire, which gives a more even heat distribution and generally better flavour from the first draw. The wick is a combination of linen and organic cotton, which Aspire uses for its heat resistance and consistent wicking performance across multiple refills. The coil cannot be separated from the pod body, so the full pod is replaced when the coil wears out.

2ml Capacity and Bottom-Fill Design

The pods hold 2ml of e-liquid, which is the standard UK TPD limit for refillable pods. Filling is done through a port on the base of the pod, sealed with a silicone stopper that sits in a slot and pulls out cleanly without tools. The pod body is PCTG, which is a translucent plastic that lets you keep an eye on how much e-liquid is left without having to remove the pod. Refilling is straightforward: pull the stopper, fill to just below the top of the port, replace the stopper, and leave the pod to prime for a couple of minutes before vaping.

Magnetic Connection

The pods attach to the Favostix device via a magnetic connection rather than a push-fit clip. This means the pod seats and releases easily with a straight lift, without having to squeeze tabs or use a tool. It also means the pod is held securely enough that it will not fall out during normal use. When inserting a new pod, a short prime time of two to three minutes after filling is recommended before drawing, to allow the cotton to fully saturate.

Compatible Devices

The Favostix replacement pods are compatible with both the original Aspire Favostix kit and the Aspire Favostix 2. The Favostix 2 also supports a 0.8Ω pod that was introduced alongside that kit, which is a mid-point between the two resistances available here. If you have a Favostix 2 and want to try the 0.8Ω option, check whether we stock that variant separately. The 0.6Ω and 1.0Ω pods on this page will work correctly in the Favostix 2 as well as the original device.

Which Pod Should I Choose?

If you are replacing the pod that came with your Favostix kit, the coil resistance will be marked on the side of the old pod. Most Favostix kits ship with a 0.6Ω pod pre-fitted, with a 1.0Ω pod included as a spare. If your current pod feels dry, harsh, or has a burnt taste, that is a sign it is due for replacement, and priming the new pod before use will get you off to a clean start. If you have been finding your draw too loose, try the 1.0Ω next. If it feels too tight or you want more vapour, the 0.6Ω will suit you better.
