The VOOPOO Drag S3 is a compact pod mod with a 3000mAh built-in battery, designed for vapers who want a reliable all-day device without needing to carry spare cells. It outputs from 5 to 60W across three modes and uses VOOPOO's PnP X coil platform, with both a 0.6 Ohm and 0.8 Ohm coil included in the box. The kit supports MTL, RDTL, and DTL vaping styles depending on the coil fitted and airflow setting chosen.

A 0.96-inch TFT screen displays output, resistance, and battery level, and the device uses a capacitive touch sensor to unlock rather than relying entirely on button presses. The Drag S3 is the latest built-in battery model in the Drag series and is 4mm smaller in body than its predecessor, the Drag S2, while carrying a 500mAh larger battery.

3000mAh Built-In Battery

The Drag S3 is powered by a 3000mAh built-in battery, which is 500mAh more than the Drag S2 it replaces and provides around 25% longer runtime between charges in a smaller physical body. For most vapers running the device at everyday wattages in the 20 to 40W range, this is enough capacity to last a full day of regular use without needing to top up. The device charges via Type-C at 5V/2A, and passthrough vaping is supported, meaning you can continue vaping while the device is connected to charge if needed.

Capacitive Touch Unlock

The Drag S3 includes a capacitive touch sensor on the fire button that unlocks the device with a light touch and re-locks it automatically when released. This prevents accidental firing in a pocket or bag without requiring button presses to engage and disengage the lock. VOOPOO has included three unlocking options to suit different preferences: capacitive touch (default), traditional button press, or a maintained unlocked mode for those who prefer the device to stay active without auto-locking. The unlock method can be selected through the device settings.

Three Output Modes

The Drag S3 runs three output modes via the GENE TT chip:

• Smart mode: Reads the installed coil resistance and sets a recommended wattage automatically. The best starting point for new users or when trying a new coil. With the 0.6 Ohm coil fitted, Smart mode defaults to a wattage appropriate to the coil's rated range; the 0.8 Ohm coil runs at lower wattage for a cooler, tighter draw.
• RBA mode: Full manual wattage control from 5 to 60W with no restrictions. Use this mode to dial in a specific wattage or to explore the full range of either coil.
• ECO mode: Reduces power consumption to extend battery life, useful for longer days where a charge top-up is not available. Output is slightly reduced compared to RBA mode at the same wattage setting.

PnP X Pod and Coils

The Drag S3 comes with VOOPOO's PnP X DTL pod, which holds 2ml of e-liquid in the UK TPD version and fills via a side-fill port. The pod uses a top-airflow design that routes air in from above and directs it downward through the coil, keeping e-liquid away from the airflow vents and reducing the likelihood of leaking. Two PnP X mesh coils are included:

• PnP X 0.6 Ohm: A versatile coil suited to RDTL vaping in the 18 to 28W range, depending on airflow preference. Works well with high-VG shortfills and 50/50 e-liquids. A good everyday coil for balanced flavour and moderate vapour output.
• PnP X 0.8 Ohm: A tighter coil suited to MTL and light RDTL vaping, typically run between 12 and 18W. Pairs well with nic salts and higher-strength 50/50 freebase liquids. Better suited to vapers who prefer a more cigarette-like draw.

Both coils use PnP X mesh construction and are rated by VOOPOO for up to 100ml of e-liquid usage before replacement. The Drag S3 is also compatible with the PnP X MTL pod (sold separately), which offers tighter airflow options for dedicated MTL vaping.

Adjustable Airflow

The PnP X DTL pod features stepless top-airflow adjustment, allowing you to open the draw fully for a loose DTL vape or restrict it progressively toward a tighter RDTL draw. Because the airflow inlets sit at the top of the pod, they remain above the e-liquid level at all times, which helps keep the device leak-resistant regardless of the airflow setting chosen. The 0.6 Ohm coil with airflow partially restricted gives a warm, flavour-forward RDTL draw that suits a wide range of shortfill e-liquids. Fully opened, it suits cloud-focused DTL vaping.

0.96-Inch TFT Screen and Design

The 0.96-inch TFT colour display is positioned on the front face of the device and shows wattage, coil resistance, battery level, and puff count. The Drag S3 follows the same family design as the wider Drag range, with a semi-circular profile that sits comfortably in the hand and a leather-textured rear panel with embossed detailing. The body is 4mm shorter than the Drag S2, making it more pocketable while still housing the larger 3000mAh cell. The zinc alloy frame provides solid build quality and a premium feel without excessive weight.

Prime both coils before first use: fill the pod, fit the coil, and wait at least five minutes before vaping. High-VG shortfills are recommended with the 0.6 Ohm coil; 50/50 or nic salt liquids work well with the 0.8 Ohm coil.
