Smart Mode: Automatic Wattage Matching

When a pod is inserted, the XROS 5 Mini automatically reads its resistance and applies the correct wattage without any input from the user. This means switching between pod types is straightforward: remove one pod, insert another, and the device adjusts accordingly. The recommended wattage for each resistance is 30W for the 0.4Ω, 21W for the 0.6Ω, 16W for the 0.8Ω, 12W for the 1.0Ω and 10W for the 1.2Ω pod. Smart Mode removes the risk of running the wrong wattage for a pod, which is one of the most common causes of a burnt taste.

COREX 2.0 and COREX 3.0 Pod Compatibility

The XROS 5 Mini ships with a 0.6Ω COREX 2.0 pod pre-installed and is fully compatible with all COREX 2.0 and COREX 3.0 XROS replacement pods. COREX pods use a Morph-Mesh coil structure with high-density COREX cotton, which distributes heat evenly across the heating surface and keeps the wick saturated to reduce the risk of dry hits. COREX 3.0 pods are noted to have further improved leak resistance over the 2.0 version. Each pod is a self-contained unit; when flavour deteriorates, you swap the whole pod rather than replacing a separate coil.

Pod Resistance Options and Which to Choose

• 1.2Ω - Tightest MTL draw, closest to a cigarette. Best with 50/50 nic salts at 10mg or 20mg.
• 1.0Ω - Tight MTL with a touch more vapour. Well suited to 50/50 nic salts at 10mg or 20mg.
• 0.8Ω - Middle-ground MTL option with a slightly warmer draw. Works well with 50/50 nic salts at 10mg.
• 0.6Ω - RDTL draw, airier and warmer than MTL. Suits 50/50 nic salts at 5mg or 10mg. This is the pod included in the box.
• 0.4Ω - Loosest RDTL option. Better suited to 50/50 or 70VG e-liquids at lower nicotine strengths.

Adjustable Side Airflow Slider (MTL to RDTL)

A slider on the side of the XROS 5 Mini adjusts the airflow independently of the pod choice. Closing it down tightens the draw for a more restricted, MTL-style inhale; opening it progressively loosens the inhale into RDTL territory. Using the slider alongside your pod choice gives a wide range of feel: a 1.0Ω or 1.2Ω pod with the airflow restricted is the closest the device gets to a cigarette draw, while a 0.4Ω or 0.6Ω pod with the slider fully open produces a noticeably freer inhale. Most vapers find a position somewhere in the middle that suits their preference.

4-Step Hidden Tidal LED Battery Indicator

The XROS 5 Mini does not have a screen. Instead, a row of four small LEDs on the front of the device lights up each time you draw to show the remaining battery level. Four lights indicate 75-100% charge; three lights show 50-75%; two lights indicate 25-50%; and one light means below 25%. The LEDs also respond when inserting a pod or connecting the charging cable. This system keeps the device slim and straightforward, without the additional complexity of a display.

Top-Fill 2ml Pods with SSS Leak-Resistant Tech

XROS pods are filled from the top by removing the mouthpiece to access the fill port, which is marked with a red silicone ring. The pod stays in the device while you refill, which keeps the process quick. SSS leak-resistant technology is built into the pod construction to reduce the likelihood of e-liquid seeping through the connection point. Before using a new pod for the first time, fill it and leave it upright for five to ten minutes so the COREX cotton can fully saturate; this helps prevent a dry or burnt first hit and extends pod lifespan.
