The Uwell Caliburn G5 is a 35W refillable pod kit with a 1600mAh built-in battery, AlphaCore coil technology, and customisable UI themes. It is part of the Caliburn range and comes with three pods in the box: one GPP Alpha cartridge with AlphaCore coil technology and a soft-touch TPU mouthpiece, plus two standard GPP pods.

The aluminium alloy body comes in at approximately 65g and features adjustable side airflow for both MTL and RDL vaping. Auto-draw activation and smart triple-tap controls keep day-to-day use simple, and USB-C fast charging keeps downtime short. Seven colours are available, each with a matching UI theme.

AlphaCore Technology and GPP Pods

The GPP Alpha pod included in the box uses AlphaCore coil engineering to extend the lifespan of the built-in coil. In practice this means flavour stays consistent for longer before it starts to drop off, so you get more out of each pod before it needs replacing. The soft-touch TPU mouthpiece on the Alpha pod is noticeably more comfortable during longer sessions than the standard GPP mouthpiece. GPP Alpha pods are available separately at Vapeology when you need replacements.

The Caliburn G5 takes the full GPP pod range. The 0.4ohm suits RDL vaping with 50/50 e-liquids at lower nicotine strengths. The 0.6ohm covers the middle ground between RDL and loose MTL and pairs well with 50/50 blends or nic salts. The 0.9ohm delivers a comfortable MTL draw best paired with nic salts, and the 1.2ohm moves into tighter MTL territory for higher-strength nic salt users. All GPP pods hold 2ml and feature built-in mesh coils. Replace the whole pod when flavour starts to drop.

Smart Controls and Customisable UI

Triple-tap controls let you cycle through modes, adjust screen brightness, and switch UI themes without navigating menus. Each of the seven colours has a matching UI theme built in, so the screen experience ties into the finish of the device. Auto-draw activation means there is no fire button to press — just inhale and the device responds.

G5 Series Comparison

The G5 is the full-featured version of the series. If you want the same battery and pod range in the classic KOKO square format, the Caliburn G5 KOKO is the one. If you want something simpler and more entry-level without the extra features, the Caliburn G5 Lite strips things back for a more straightforward vape. All three share the same GPP pod platform.
