5–200W Output with AS Chip 4.0

The AS Chip 4.0 manages power delivery across the full 5-200W range, maintaining consistent output even as battery charge drops. Buck-boost technology means you get stable wattage throughout a charge cycle, not just at the top. This matters most at higher wattages, where lesser chips can produce inconsistent vapour as the batteries drain. The resistance range runs from 0.1 to 3.0 ohms, covering sub-ohm DTL tanks through to higher-resistance MTL setups.

IP68 Waterproof, Dustproof, and Shockproof Rating

IP68 is the highest standard of protection available on a consumer vape mod, meaning the Aegis Legend 3 is fully sealed against dust ingress and water-resistant to 1.5 metres for up to 30 minutes. The rubberised base absorbs shock from drops, and the sealed battery door keeps moisture out of the battery compartment. GeekVape calls this combination Tri-Proof technology, and the Aegis line has built its reputation on it. If you work outdoors, use a mod in rough conditions, or simply drop things regularly, this level of protection makes a practical difference.

Smart Lock with Palm Recognition

The Aegis Legend 3 uses an electronic heat-sensor system on the back of the mod to detect when you are holding it. When you pick it up, it unlocks automatically. When you put it down, it locks. This replaces the physical lock slider found on earlier Aegis models. There are three lock levels available in the settings: touch lock for the screen, button lock for the fire button, and a full lock that covers both. Smart Lock can also be disabled entirely if you prefer to manage locking manually.

Six Output Modes

Power Mode lets you set wattage manually and is the most straightforward option for everyday use. Smart Mode reads the coil resistance and sets a recommended wattage range automatically, which suits vapers who prefer not to adjust settings manually. Boosting Mode delivers a harder, more immediate hit by running the coil at maximum power. ECO Mode reduces output to extend battery life. Memory Mode saves up to five custom wattage profiles, useful if you regularly swap between different tanks or coils. TCR Mode allows temperature control using custom resistance coefficients for nickel, titanium, and stainless steel coils.

0.96" TFT Colour Screen

The screen shows wattage, battery level, coil resistance, voltage, and puff count at a glance. The display uses colour coding to make key readings easy to read without scrolling through menus. Brightness can be adjusted in the settings, and the screen theme colour can be changed to black and white, blue, purple, orange, or pink. Three clicks of the fire button opens the main menu, and the up and down buttons navigate through options.

Dual External 18650 Batteries

The Aegis Legend 3 requires two 18650 batteries, which are not included and need to be purchased separately. Using external batteries means you can carry spares and swap them out rather than waiting for the mod to charge, which is a practical advantage for all-day use at higher wattages. Batteries must have flat tops on both ends to allow the battery door to close correctly. A quality external charger is recommended for balanced charging and to extend battery life. The maximum output current is 45A and the maximum output voltage is 12V.

Type-C Fast Charging at 5V/3A

The USB-C charging port is located above the fire button and protected by a rubber plug that forms part of the IP68 seal. Fast charging at 5V/3A means the batteries charge more quickly than older micro-USB mods when using a compatible charger. The port accepts any standard USB-C cable, so you are not restricted to a proprietary cable. For optimal battery health and balanced cell charging, an external 18650 battery charger is the preferred approach when you have time to use one.

510 Threaded Connection

The spring-loaded 510 connector is compatible with any standard 510-threaded tank or rebuildable atomiser. You are not limited to GeekVape's own Z Fli tank and can use whichever tank suits your preference. The spring-loaded pin adjusts for different connection pin depths, which helps ensure solid contact across a wide range of tanks.

Memory Mode with Five Saved Profiles

Memory Mode stores up to five separate wattage settings, each saved as a named profile. This is particularly useful if you use the same mod with different tanks that suit different wattage levels. Switching between profiles takes a few button presses rather than manually adjusting the wattage each time. Each profile stores the wattage setting independently, so changes to one do not affect the others.

Aluminium Alloy Build with Leather Grip

The frame is constructed from aluminium alloy, which keeps the weight reasonable at 180g without batteries while still providing a solid, rigid chassis. The leather grip panel on the back is ergonomically shaped and carries a hot-stamped "LEGEND" mark. The rubberised base adds grip on flat surfaces and cushions the mod when it is set down. The overall dimensions are 55.36mm wide by 140.5mm tall, making it a mid-size dual-battery mod.
