Description

Aspire AVP Pro Coils

The Aspire AVP Pro replacement coils come in a pack of five and are available in two variants: a 0.65Ω mesh coil and a 1.15Ω standard Kanthal coil. Both are press-fit coils that push into the bottom of your AVP Pro replacement pod, and both cover a narrow MTL and restricted draw vaping style – this is not a sub-ohm or DTL coil range. The key difference between the two is how the device handles power when each coil is installed.

With the 1.15Ω coil fitted, you can select from four wattage levels using the mode button. With the 0.65Ω mesh coil fitted, the device switches to bypass mode automatically, outputting between 10 and 16W depending on your current battery level – you cannot manually adjust the wattage with this coil. These coils are also compatible with several other Aspire devices beyond the AVP Pro itself.

Aspire AVP Pro Coils Key Features

  • Pack of five replacement coils
  • Two variants: 0.65Ω mesh and 1.15Ω standard Kanthal AF
  • Press-fit installation – push into the bottom of the AVP Pro replacement pod
  • A coil removal tool is included in the AVP Pro kit box to help with extraction
  • Compatible with AVP Pro, AVP Cube, Zero G and Tekno AVP Pod kits
  • Both variants suited to MTL and restricted-draw vaping styles
  • Best paired with 50/50 freebase or nicotine salt e-liquids
  • Aspire hologram and scratch authentication sticker on the box

Coil Variants

There are two coil options. Here is how they perform differently and which one suits which style of vaping.

  • 0.65Ω mesh coil. When this coil is installed, the AVP Pro runs in bypass mode – the device feeds direct voltage from the battery to the coil, which translates to roughly 10-16W depending on how charged your battery is. You cannot select a specific wattage with this coil, so the output will gradually decrease as the battery drains. The mesh build gives you better flavour and slightly more vapour than the standard coil. The draw is still MTL but a touch warmer and denser, particularly with the airflow more open. A 50/50 freebase or nicotine salt at 10-20mg works well here. High-VG e-liquids above 60% VG are not recommended for the AVP Pro pod system.
  • 1.15Ω standard Kanthal coil. With this coil fitted you get full wattage control across four preset levels: 10W (red LED), 12W (blue LED), 14W (green LED) and 16W (white LED). Double-press the mode button to cycle through them. Most vapers settle at 12 or 14W for a consistent MTL draw with good flavour and a clean throat hit. This is the coil to choose if you want predictable, adjustable output and are using nicotine salts at 10-20mg or a 50/50 freebase. It is also the coil that most closely mimics the feel of smoking a cigarette.

Device Compatibility

The AVP Pro coils are not exclusive to the AVP Pro kit. The same coil fits several other Aspire devices. If you have been searching for the "aspire tekno avp pro coil", "aspire avp pod" coils, or replacement coils for the Zero G kit, these are the correct coils for all of them.

  • Aspire AVP Pro Pod Kit
  • Aspire AVP Cube Pod Kit
  • Aspire Zero G Kit
  • Aspire Tekno AVP Pod

These coils are designed specifically for the AVP Pro pod platform. They are not compatible with any other Aspire coil range. If you are unsure whether these coils fit your device, check your kit page or contact us and we will confirm.

Fitting and Priming

To fit a new coil, remove the pod from the device, push the new coil into the bottom of the pod until it clicks firmly into place. A coil removal tool ships in the AVP Pro kit box to help pull the old coil out cleanly without needing to force it with your fingers. Once the new coil is fitted, fill the pod, replace the silicone fill valve and let it stand for three to five minutes before vaping. Starting at a lower wattage and building up over the first few draws also helps the coil bed in properly and extends its life.

E-Liquid Guide

The AVP Pro coil range is built for tight, MTL-style vaping. Both variants work best with thinner, higher-PG e-liquids that wick quickly through a small coil surface. A 50/50 freebase e-liquid or a nicotine salt is the right match for either coil. Nicotine salts between 10mg and 20mg are a good starting point and suit the low-to-mid wattage output of both variants. High-VG e-liquids of 70% VG or above are not well suited to this pod system and can cause dry hits or reduced coil life. If you are using the 0.65Ω mesh coil and want to try slightly higher VG, 60% VG is the maximum most sources recommend.
