Caliburn GPP Pods

The Uwell Caliburn GPP replacement pods are the current generation of refillable pods for the Caliburn G3, G4, and G5 kit ranges. They replaced the original Caliburn G3 pods and are backwards compatible across all Caliburn kits that previously used the G3 series. Each pack contains four pods in your chosen resistance. All four variants use a built-in FeCrAl mesh coil, a 2ml TPD-compliant e-liquid capacity, and a top-fill port that lets you refill without removing the pod from the device. They cover both mouth-to-lung (MTL) and restricted direct-to-lung (RDTL) vaping styles.

Choosing Your Resistance

The four resistance options cover different vaping styles and wattage ranges. If you are switching from cigarettes or primarily use nic salts, the 0.9Ω or 1.2Ω is the better starting point. The 0.4Ω and 0.6Ω options suit freebase e-liquids and RDTL use.

  • 0.4Ω: RDTL, 35W. Loosest draw, highest vapour output. Best with freebase e-liquid at low nicotine strength (3mg–6mg).
  • 0.6Ω: RDTL, 25W. Slightly more restricted than the 0.4Ω but still an airy RDTL draw. Works well with freebase or hybrid nicotine liquids.
  • 0.9Ω: MTL, 15W. Standard mouth-to-lung draw, closest to a cigarette. Suits nicotine salts at 10mg–20mg. The most popular option for ex-smokers.
  • 1.2Ω: MTL, 13W. Tightest draw of the four. Good for vapers who want a very restricted inhale or prefer lower-strength nic salts.

FeCrAl Mesh Coil

All four GPP pod variants use a FeCrAl (iron-chromium-aluminium) mesh coil built directly into the pod body. The mesh construction heats e-liquid across a larger surface area than a standard wire coil, which improves vapour production and flavour consistency. Because the coil is integrated, there is nothing to replace separately: when the coil is spent, you swap the whole pod. This keeps maintenance straightforward and eliminates the risk of incorrectly seated replacement coils.

2ml Top-Fill Design

Each pod holds 2ml of e-liquid in line with UK TPD regulations. To fill, open the top cap to access the fill port and add your liquid directly. The pod does not need to be removed from the device first, which reduces the risk of spillage. After filling, replace the cap and leave the pod to rest for at least 10 minutes before vaping. This allows the cotton wick inside the coil to saturate fully. Vaping before the wick is properly primed is the most common cause of a burnt taste on a new pod, so this step is worth taking.

Pro-FOCS Flavour Technology

Uwell's Pro-FOCS system adjusts the flavour output based on the coil resistance and the wattage being applied. It is built into the pod circuitry and works alongside compatible Caliburn devices that support Pro-FOCS. The result is a more consistent flavour delivery as the e-liquid level drops through the pod's lifespan. This is particularly noticeable with fruit and sweet-flavoured liquids, where flavour consistency from a full pod to a near-empty one can vary significantly in standard coil designs.

U² Ultrasonic Welding and Anti-Leak Construction

The GPP pod body is assembled using Uwell's U² ultrasonic welding process, which bonds the pod components together without adhesives or mechanical joins. This creates a more airtight seal around the coil and e-liquid chamber. A U-shaped internal airflow channel complements this by directing airflow in a controlled path through the pod, reducing the chance of liquid finding its way into the airflow tube. Both features work together to make these pods less prone to leaking than pods built with conventional assembly methods.

GPP vs Original Caliburn G3 Pods

The Caliburn GPP pods are the direct replacement for the original Caliburn G3 pod series and are now the current stock for compatible kits. The GPP range uses the same four resistance options as the G3 pods and fits the same devices. The main differences are the updated coil material and the improved ultrasonic welding used in the GPP construction. If you have been using Caliburn G3 pods and are looking for replacements, the GPP pods are the correct current alternative. E-Liquid Recommendations

All four GPP resistances work best with a 50/50 VG/PG e-liquid. For the 0.9Ω and 1.2Ω MTL options, nicotine salts are a popular choice as the tighter draw and lower wattage suit the smoother nicotine delivery of salt-based liquids. For the 0.4Ω and 0.6Ω RDTL variants, freebase nicotine at lower strengths (3mg to 6mg) tends to work better, as the higher wattage and looser draw produce more vapour per puff. Using a high-VG liquid above 60% VG in these pods is not recommended, as it can restrict wicking and lead to dry hits.
