What to Pack in Your Vape Travel Kit

What to Pack in Your Vape Travel Kit

Matthew Abercrombie |

Don’t get caught without your juice in the middle of a muddy field

Whether you’re off to a music festival, heading abroad, or just spending a cheeky long weekend somewhere sunny(ish), packing your vape right is a must.

I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve heard, “I forgot my charger and my vape died on the first night!” or “I brought juice but no spare coil — nightmare.” Trust me, having a proper little vape travel kit can save you hassle, money, and that awful moment where you’re stuck in a queue with a flat device and nothing to puff.

Here’s what we recommend packing — from one vaper to another.

🎒 Your Vape Travel Kit Essentials

🔋 1. Reliable Vape Device (That You Can Trust to Last)

Go for something small, sturdy, and easy to use — especially if you’re not near a plug socket every five minutes.

Top picks for travel:

  • Uwell Caliburn range (compact, solid battery life)
  • OXVA Xlim Pro 2 (USB-C charging, flavour banger)
  • Something refillable with a good seal — no one wants e-liquid in their bum bag

🧃 2. Enough E-Liquid to See You Through

Don’t assume you’ll find your favourite flavour wherever you’re going — and if you’re abroad, local rules might restrict what you can buy.

What to pack:

  • 2–4 bottles of nic salt or shortfill (depending on trip length)
  • A mix of flavours to suit your mood (fruity for the day, dessert at night?)
  • A sealed bottle stored upright in a zip-lock bag if you’re flying

If you’re going to a hot country, avoid very sweet or dark juices — they can get gloopy in the heat.

🧵 3. Spare Pods or Coils (Trust Me on This One)

Your coil will burn out the minute it’s least convenient. Always bring a spare or two.

  • For pod systems: carry at least 2 refillable pods
  • For mods/tanks: bring 2–3 coils just in case
  • Keep them in a little pouch or box to avoid damage

🔌 4. Charging Cable (and Battery Backup)

Most vapes are USB-C now — but always double check before you pack.

  • Bring a short USB-C cable just for your vape
  • Pack a power bank (especially at festivals)
  • If abroad, bring a travel plug adaptor!

Some newer kits have fast charging — worth plugging in during a break, even for 20 mins.

🧻 5. Tissues or Cotton Buds for Leaks & Spills

Not glamorous, but you’ll thank yourself.

  • Wipe off leaky pods
  • Clean contacts
  • Deal with pocket-juice mishaps without ruining your jeans

🎉 Optional (But Handy) Extras

  • Vape lanyard — never lose it in the crowd
  • Protective case — stop it getting scratched or cracked
  • Nicotine-free options — for when you just want the flavour
  • Discreet device — ideal if you're going somewhere with strict vape rules
  • A backup disposable — just in case everything else fails (but pack it responsibly!)

✈️ Flying with Vapes? Quick Reminders

If you’re flying, remember:

  • Keep all vape gear in your hand luggage
  • Do not use or charge your vape on the plane
  • Check local vape laws – some countries have bans or restrictions
  • Limit e-liquid bottles to 100ml each (if shortfills, make sure they’re sealed)

From One Festival Vaper to Another…

Having a well-packed vape kit can be the difference between smooth sailing and total frustration when you’re away. Trust me — I’ve seen more broken pods and forgotten coils than I care to count.

So whether you’re heading to Glasto, jetting off to Spain, or just spending the weekend at your mate’s caravan, pack smart, puff happy, and enjoy the trip.
